| Qualities -
Use |
| EDICAS K |
Basically for “English breakfast sausages”. |
| EDICAS N |
For Wieners and Frankfurters, but not for
Bratwurst. Can also be used for uncooked sausages when high-speed
filling is required. The casing has lower elasticity, so it has
improved resistance to cooking and smoking conditions. Stands
up well to grilling. |
| EDICAS NU |
For standard uncooked sausage as it is more
elastic with better resistance to the relaxation of the casing
after filling. Suitable for grilling and deep-frying and for
sausages that have to dry out slightly. |
| EDICAS S |
Coloured casings. |

The package containing the casings is covered
by a plastic film that hermetically seals the box, thus acting
as a barrier to prevent loss of moisture and maintain the humidity
of the casings until they are used.
Casings are normally sold in 15-meter long pleated sticks.
Other sizes can be produced to suit the requirements of our customers.
A plastic film is placed around the sticks in the package to facilitate loading
them into the hopper of automatic sausage-filling machines. |
